The brief was to create a workplace that hosts and showcases the innovative philosophy of the science research center.

Exploration of ideas to the common construction materials is highly encouraged in this project - such as exposing the frame of drywall as open shelving for files and materials storage; studio were themed with raw galvanized steel panel to keep the working environment rigid and cold for mind cooling effect, rooms of discussion and exchange of ideas were themed with plywood panel with natural wood grain for warm and dynamic appearance. Despite its large footprint at ±8000 square feet, the existing space had very limited access to natural light. In order to create an uplifting working environment, the wall between the facade and staircase were replaced by glass brick walls. Without deliberated decorative manner, every element, material and arrangement of this project is concise and straightforward, in order to answer to the attributes of the team.
